Working across community and health settings, our Client and Patient Services team partners with participants, families, carers, health professionals and community stakeholders to deliver programs that are person-centred, safe and meaningful. About the role Reporting to the Program Director – Wellness Programs, the Creative Arts Tutor will design, coordinate and facilitate high-quality Creative Health programs for individuals and groups across community and health settings. - Design and deliver inclusive creative arts programs that promote wellbeing, confidence, self-expression and social connection.
- Adapt activities to meet diverse participant needs, abilities and goals.
- Create safe, welcoming and engaging environments using strengths-based and person-centred approaches.
- Work collaboratively with clinical teams, carers, referrers and other stakeholders to support participant outcomes.
- Contribute to referral pathways, participant resources, operational processes and service development.
- Maintain accurate participant records, activity data and outcome information in line with privacy, safety and organisational requirements.
- Support program evaluation, continuous improvement and best-practice Creative Health delivery.
- Promote the Creative Health program and support opportunities such as participant exhibitions and community engagement initiatives.
What you’ll bring to the team - A relevant degree in Visual Art from an accredited university, or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated experience facilitating arts programs in community, health or wellbeing settings.
- Experience designing and adapting programs for people with diverse needs, interests, abilities and goals.
- A strong understanding of person-centred and strengths-based practice.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with participants, families, carers, health professionals and community stakeholders
- Sound organisational skills, including the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and work with initiative.
- A creative, flexible and reliable approach, with a genuine commitment to participant wellbeing.
- Confidence using basic technology, including email and Microsoft Word
- Knowledge of safe visual arts practices and the value of creative arts in supporting wellbeing in health care and community settings.
- A current driver’s licence and willingness to undertake relevant background checks, including NDIS worker screening, Police Check, Working with Children clearances and job specific functional capacity assessment.
- Experience in Creative Health, Arts in Health, aged care, community services, disability, neurological conditions, mental health or trauma-informed practice will be highly regarded.
