As a charity of The Hospital Research Foundation Group (THRF Group) - Military and Emergency Services Health Australia (MESHA) is a profit-for-purpose research, training and programs centre that supports the mental health and wellbeing of current and former Australian military members, emergency service personnel and their families. The MESHA Program Delivery Team is seeking a passionate and skilled facilitator to join our growing Programs Team. If you’re driven to make a meaningful impact on the mental health and wellbeing of Australia’s military and emergency service communities, this is an opportunity to contribute to lifechanging programs that genuinely matter. About the role Facilitators will deliver MESHA’s workshop programs either face to face or online, working collaboratively with the Program Delivery Team and broader teaching team. Clinical Facilitators - Can work as Co-facilitators or Lead facilitators and will preferably have either lived experience of military or first responder work or have worked with this population or be willing to be trained in Military and Emergency Service Cultural Competency, in addition you will: - Deliver psychoeducation and mental health skills programs to groups
- Bring experience working with military and/or emergency service populations, or be willing to undertake cultural competency training
- Support participant engagement and wellbeing throughout program delivery
Lead Facilitators (in addition to the above) - Provide leadership to teaching teams and mentors during workshops
- Contribute to capability building across the facilitator cohort
- Participate in planning meetings and act as an ambassador for MESHA
- Commit to ongoing professional development and continuous improvement
- You will play a key role in ensuring participants feel supported, respected, and empowered throughout their learning experience.
What you’ll bring: - Prior experience in delivering training is highly regarded, showcasing your social skills and ability to engage and manage group dynamics.
- Experience working in a mental health setting
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills
- A Tertiary qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or a related field
- A proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, with a natural ability to build trust and work sensitively and inclusively.
- Self-motivation, adaptability, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to achieving results within a flexible, small team environment.
