Are you a motivated and adaptable facilitator/trainer ready to make a difference in the lives of current and former military and emergency service personnel and their families?

 

As a charity of The Hospital Research Foundation Group (THRF Group) - Military and Emergency Services Health Australia (MESHA) is a profit-for-purpose research, training and programs centre that supports the mental health and wellbeing of current and former Australian military members, emergency service personnel and their families.

 

The MESHA Program Delivery Team is seeking dedicated current or former veteran/first responder Facilitators to join our team. This dynamic role offers an exceptional opportunity to develop your expertise as a Facilitator of our mental health and wellbeing workshops.  Beginning as a Co-Facilitator, you'll gain valuable experience while directly contributing to the resilience and growth of our service community.

 

About the role:

 

As a MESHA Facilitator, you will play a pivotal role in delivering transformative learning experiences, encompassing the following:

  • Delivering engaging workshop content, both face-to-face and online.
  • Proactively manage and enhance the participant experience throughout workshops.
  • Maintain knowledge of course content/updates and contribute to ongoing workshop quality improvements.
  • Effectively consult and collaborate with the MESHA team and teaching members.
  • Build capacity and capability among fellow teaching team members.
  • Represent MESHA through effective external relationship management.

What you’ll bring:

  • Prior experience in delivering training is highly regarded, showcasing your social skills and ability to engage and manage group dynamics.
  • Previous experience in a service role (e.g. Defence, Emergency Services) is essential.
  • A tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience that aligns with this role.
  • A proven ability to work effectively and collaboratively with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, with a natural ability to build trust and work sensitively and inclusively.
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm, and a strong commitment to achieving results within a flexible, small team environment.
  • Adaptability and resilience.
