As State Lead for Western Australia, you'll champion THRFG’s growth and impact across the state, working with health services, universities, and research institutes to shape strategic priorities, grow philanthropic support, and foster community and government partnerships. We’re looking for individuals who possess:

  • Postgraduate qualifications in Management, Marketing, Business Development, Communications, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in senior executive leadership roles, including public interface.
  • Previous experience as a State Manager or General Manager in Western Australia.
  • Strong ability to work independently, prioritise tasks, and manage time effectively under pressure.
  • Expertise in building and growing effective corporate and government relationships.
  • Excellent public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with a multi-location team.
  • A proactive approach to embracing change and seizing new opportunities.

 About the Role

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the State Lead – WA, will:

  • Lead the execution of the strategic plan to expand THRFG’s presence in WA and foster a culture of innovation for long-term sustainability.
  • Collaborate with department leads across the Group to achieve objectives in fundraising, research, grants, and patient and family support programs.
  • Identify and recommend strategic grant funding opportunities to drive THRFG’s impact in WA.
  • Build and nurture relationships with local stakeholders, including donors, ambassadors, government officials, and community leaders, while representing THRFG at events and media opportunities.
  • Oversee the safety, wellbeing, and administrative requirements of the WA team, ensuring efficient program delivery and promoting a positive workplace culture.
  • Provide guidance and professional development to create a high-performing, motivated culture within the WA office and across the Group.
  • Advocate for THRFG’s mission through strategic marketing, communication campaigns, and engagement with policymakers to shape supportive policies.
