Military and Emergency Services Health Australia (MESHA) is a collaborative research institute dedicated to actively informing and improving policy, programs and services for current and former serving Australian military and emergency service personnel and their families. MESHA’s purpose is to optimise the mental health, wellbeing and functioning of current and former serving Australian military members, emergency service personnel and their families through the delivery and support of culturally and industry informed research and support services. This is achieved through the development of national and international interdisciplinary research networks renowned and trusted to deliver high quality, robust and translational research outcomes.  MESHA is a charity of The Hospital Research Foundation Group (THRF).

 

Under the direction of the MESHA Program Delivery Team, Facilitators will be assigned a role for each workshop or GEARS course as either a Lead or Co-Facilitator. This appointment is determined by operational requirements.

 

This position is a Casual Position.

 

To be successful in this role you will be passionate about engaging with audiences and proactively engaging with internal and external stakeholders. 

 

Role responsibilities include:

  • Familiarisation with course content assigned which includes liaison with the MESHA Program Delivery Team and working with other facilitators.

  • Take direction from the MESHA Programs Delivery Team and any Lead Facilitator on the day; facilitate workshop or session content through effective presentation, moderation of participant input and individual/collective engagement during exercises and workshop tasks.

  • Participate in after action reviews to determine lessons learnt and support ongoing improvement.

  • Facilitators are expected to commit to ongoing professional development to develop individual skills.

  • Attend planning meetings and take an active role in the promotion and support for the workshop program and perform an Ambassadorial role for the program.

You will ideally have:

  • Tertiary qualification and/or relevant experience.
  • Previous experience with facilitating training.
  • Previous experience in a service role will be highly regarded.
  • Initial training and participation programs.

Please note: Candidates will need to undergo a National Police Check prior to commencement.
